What players say
Uhhhh, YEAH. All of the Legacy of Kain games should be at least played once. The Soul Reaver ones are my absolute favorite. But you still cannot go wrong with Blood Omen or Defiance

From a lore perspective, it adds extra layers that make the entire Soul Reaver and, more broadly, the Legacy of Kain lore deeper and more intriguing. It includes numerous references to events from Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen 1. However, when it comes to gameplay, it is quite frustrating. The puzzles are interesting, but the bugs and combat make it unnecessarily complicated, especially when facing the demons, which...
