The story gradually grows from a personal mystery into a larger conflict, creating a strong sense of purpose...
One of the best games of all time. It's sequel is much more fleshed out with party banter, scope, and story beats but this is one of the most replayable power fantasies I've played. Going from a lvl 1 unknown to what you become later on in the series is so rewarding. Tons of class and race combinations that feel very impactful. Lots of secrets and quests to discover, you'll always find something new on a playthrough.
