in a sea of football games that intentionally sink to the bottom every year, desepelote will hold up for a very long time
I loved the narrative, the visuals, the voices, the music, this was a beautiful experience. A window into another place and time that felt universal and personal. It made me nostalgic for the other country I used to live in. I did find the football mechanics underwhelming (both the real life kickabouts and the video game), I know they were meant to be basic (Sensible Soccer!) but I ended up just finding those bits...
Didn't listen to my mom and had a great day at the park, terrorizing everyone with a soccer ball. 10/10 would get lost in Ecuador again.
