What drives the score

How to read this

Grades run S to D, read from the buyer's side. ▲ marks a lift, ▼ a drag or a dock, ? an input we do not have, • a fact this genre's score does not use. How the grades work

What we assumed
  • Steam lists in-app purchases but we have no detail on them. Small caution applied.
Raising the score
Reviews97% positive
Gates the score. Weak reviews cap it, and nothing reaches BANGER without strong ones
Holding it back
Reach75K+ owners
How many own it and play it, by SteamSpy's estimates (an old snapshot), the biggest driver for a game with no ending
MonetizationIn-app purchases
Steam lists in-app purchases and nothing more is known, so a small haircut
Refunds14 of 375 reviews
Well above the typical game's share of reviews from refunded buyers, so the score takes a small dock
For context
Value$5.88/hr
Price per hour of game. This genre scores on player counts instead
Length5.1 hours
Typical playtime on HowLongToBeat. Endless games score on players, so hours stay out of it

The value story

The lowest price on record is $14.99, set in December 2024. Its cuts run 33 percent off as a rule. There have been 27 in the 3 years tracked, about 4 weeks apart. Today it is at full price, and its last discount ended 9 days ago.

Value puts it in the top 10 percent of the games it competes with. It is pricier than 96 percent of its genre, and better reviewed than 98 percent. Among the games that feel like it, Blade and Sorcery ($29.99, scores 97) beats it on value, while it beats HARD BULLET ($19.99, scores 35).

This site sampled 375 of its Steam-purchase reviews; 14 were written by buyers who refunded it, sampled from reviews written January 2024 to August 2026. That is more refunded reviewers than 9 in 10 paid games this site has sampled to the same depth, and among the 698 games in its genre sampled this deeply, 12 have a larger share. The typical game sits near 5 in 1,000, so the score docks it. 2 of the 14 refunded reviewers were past Valve's two-hour window when they wrote the review. Inside the two-hour refund window, 95 percent of the 939 reviews written there were positive, against 97 percent overall, and those are 34 percent of everything written about it.

HowLongToBeat players log 5.1 hours as a typical playtime, and completionists log 23, 4.5 times as much.

What players say

One of the best VR games I've ever played. Most VR games are more like tech demos, especially ones with physics involved, but this feels like an actual GAME. I just wish they'd add more singleplayer content instead of just multiplayer. Or maybe a sequel.

absolutely incredible combat. normally vr combat feels clunky, but this doesnt. beautifully executed. and thats just the combat. the story is also amazing, and the day system is great.

Seriously one of the best VR games period. Theres 3 chapters, the first 2 are amazing as you battle in the arena, then have a choice of visiting one of the numerous mechanics (stores) or scavenging and having random encounters in cool 2D comic style cutscenes. The 3rd chapter however ditches all this in a "gauntlet" run, no shops, no trading. The first 2 chapters are spent preparing for this gauntlet. I was a little...
