The value story

June 2026 is where it bottomed out, at $3.99. 13 discounts in the 2 years on record. They run about 30 percent off, roughly 11 weeks apart. Today's $4.99 at 50 percent off still sits 25 percent above the floor, so a deeper cut exists in its history.

Take the discount away and it is a 54. With it, 62.

Value puts it in the top 26 percent of the games it competes with. It is cheaper than 62 percent of its genre, and better reviewed than 61 percent. Among the games that feel like it, Schedule I ($13.99, scores 92) beats it on value, while it beats Operation: Harsh Doorstop (free, scores 42).

Of the 578 Steam-purchase reviews this site sampled, 18 come from buyers who refunded the game, sampled from reviews written July 2024 to August 2026. That is more refunded reviewers than 7 in 10 paid games this site has sampled to the same depth, and among the 1,071 games in its genre sampled this deeply, 216 have a larger share. Inside the two-hour refund window, 68 percent of the 178 reviews written there were positive, against 83 percent overall, and those are 11 percent of everything written about it.

What players say

First impression of the game was a fatal crash immediately upon booting the game up for the first time and then several times before even completing the tutorial. I turned my settings down, thinking they were set too high, but this seemed to only temporarily fix the issue. I was able to play the game for a few hours after and even a little later in the evening. Fast forward, a few days later, to today and the game...

Shallow and such a grind. The research system and cost of upgrades feels so artificial. Even when you have two fully staffed properties farming xp for you it still takes so long to research things like a bigger plant pot, which then costs you thousands of dollars to buy. These elements shouldn't be the bottlenecks to progression. Its painful. Also how do your dealers keep getting caught by the police when there are...

Good for the price, game is not done yet but I got it on sale for like $4 so what more could you ask for. Completed all achievements in 24 hours. Looking forward to more content like other drugs and locations to sell / grow from
