I can recommend Towerful Defense to you as a decent tower defense game that you can turn into an auto-battler if you prefer (I did)--but only if you can get it on sale. After about 6 hours, I beat the game with every available character (tower) except a new bonus one that is really weirdly built. Once that was wrapped up, I didn't feel compelled to keep playing. I might just uninstall it soon. However, for those 6...
the "roguelike" is just a shameless "make same content last longer" and not really much more
