Just RNG. Bad luck means you lose. CPU luck seems suspiciously good/convenient at times. One time I wanted a quick game against a single CPU. I made it to the Crown and was casting Command, but after losing 1 or 2 lives, the CPU landed on an empty space and drew the EXACT adventure card that could prevent me from winning: Healer. Cool game if you have severe humiliation kink. Suggested auditory: pretty much no one. Suggested age: 100+ (easier to play when you cannot remember that you lost your previous 5 turns).
Talisman is basically a virtual board game - and for someone like me, that's already a huge win. I absolutely love board games. I collect them, play them constantly, and yes, I even play board games by myself. 😄 So Talisman feels right at home for me.
