What drives the score
How to read this
Every input gets a grade, S to D, read from the buyer's side. The score is multiplicative, so an input only counts as raising when it sits near the top of its own scale. Anything with real room left is holding the score back, because that room is the gap to 100. ▲ marks a lift, ▼ a drag or a dock, ? an input we do not have, • a fact this genre's score does not use. The exact weights stay secret.
The value story
September 2021 is where it bottomed out, at $1.79. Its cuts run 75 percent off as a rule. There have been 77 in the 13 years tracked, about 7 weeks apart. Today's $2.99 at 75 percent off still sits 67 percent above the floor, so a deeper cut exists in its history.
On value it sits in the top 26 percent of its genre. It is better reviewed than 69 percent of its genre. Among the games that feel like it, Into the Breach ($14.99, scores 86) beats it on value, while it beats Infectonator: Survivors ($0.99, scores 17).
Of the 748 Steam-purchase reviews this site sampled, 6 come from buyers who refunded the game, sampled from reviews written March 2020 to September 2026. Inside the two-hour refund window, 56 percent of the 902 reviews written there were positive, against 85 percent overall, and those are 10 percent of everything written about it.

What players say
A dated game, but still fun. I don't think it's worth it at full price anymore. On sale, it's definitely worth it. Rogue-lite, little grinding, lots of randomness. Easy mode is the normal one, too easy is the simple one. As we all know, naming things is difficult. Graphics-wise, it's a genre you either love or hate. Personally, I love it, as well as the audio and mood. If you're looking for a game to complete until...
Hard and fun. Don't get discouraged by the difficulties, I feel like they are almost a a joke of sorts. There are two difficulties, "Too Easy" and "Easy", which feel like "Normal" and "Hard". I just won my first run after having owned the game for 11 years, and finally deciding to go for "Too Easy" :)
The game have everything to be awesome, but have two major problems: 1-difficulty scaling: The game is easy, until it isn't. You start gathering resources and building defences holding just fine. So you decide to open one last door, suddenly appears an impossible to defeat wave. So you wasted hours of gameplay just to learn the game (with no progression), wich I'm okay with it, I have played hard games before, but I...

Dungeon of the ENDLESS™ scores 66/100 on the BANG Score (fair value). The BANG Score rates what a game is worth for the money. Via Steam BANGERS. https://steambangers.com/game/249050/dungeon-of-the-endlessThe BANG Score is one number for value, 0 to 100: price against how it reviews and how long it was built to be. It answers the money question and stops there; whether the game is for you is still your call.
Reviews set the ceiling and price moves you inside it, so a cheap game that reviews badly cannot climb. Ratings from few reviewers are shrunk toward the middle, so 100 percent from nine people does not outrank 96 percent from ninety thousand. Length comes from HowLongToBeat where it can be matched, measured against a per-genre floor so a five-hour narrative game is judged against other narrative games rather than against a sixty-hour RPG. Where no verified length exists the score says so and carries a dock, because the biggest input is then a guess. The full method, including where it is weak → Steam reviews as of Sep 13, price as of Sep 24.
