A good continuation of the game, which carefully develops the strengths of the first part and adds more content, variability, and tactical depth. For fans of the action-RPG genre, I recommend playing these two parts at least once to immerse yourself in the setting and atmosphere of the gothic Victorian world with a touch of steampunk and dark humor. It is a very nice action RPG game in the style of Diablo or Baldur's Gate 2. But it does not take itself as seriously as other titles. Its' hallmark is light-hearted humour and pop culture references throughout the game. The dialogues between the ghost woman and Van Helsing are enjoyable. The music score is very good, I enjoy the chill atmospheric soundtrack a lot. I think you buy the soundtrack with game as well...
Its an Isometric ARPG Diablo clone that plays like a darker Torchlight, with the whole companion/pet system. There aren't really very many builds that turn out to be viable late-game, and experimentation beyond putting points where you obviously are expected to is generally punished by a bossfight that soft-locks you until you respec and actually behave the way the game expects you to. I have honestly tried so many...
