More about Unspoken

Steam's global achievement data puts 55 percent of players at this game's ending achievement. The median game this site can measure sits at 15. This site sampled 386 of its Steam-purchase reviews; 9 were written by buyers who refunded it, sampled from reviews written April 2024 to August 2026. That is more refunded reviewers than 9 in 10 paid games this site has sampled to the same depth, and among the 1,422 games in its genre sampled this deeply, 154 have a larger share. The typical game sits near 5 in 1,000, so the score docks it. What players say

I played the game and It was one of the scariest games I have played. If you think having a gun will help. it doesn't. I had my friend who is in the game developing field play it after I did and he found a bunch of out of bounds and exploits. It didn't take anything out of the game for me though and was still really good (especially for the price).

A really strong horror experience. The opening sequence alone was already amazing and honestly pretty creepy. The sound design is incredible and the jumpscares are also really well done. The whole game keeps you under a lot of tension and there were quite a few moments where I genuinely got scared. The story is probably my biggest problem. It's pretty confusing and I feel like it could have been structured a bit...

Unspoken throws you into fast-paced, linear horror levels where you explore, collect story fragments, and actually fight back instead of just hiding. The retro visuals and constant forward momentum make it feel tense without dragging things out. It's great how it keeps things simple but engaging, no filler, just straight-to-the-point horror with a bit of action. The game is also very short.
