What drives the score
How to read this
Each input wears a grade, S to D, read from the buyer's side. The color is the direction: green raises the score, red lowers it, grey sits neutral. ▲ marks a lift, ▼ a dock, ? a missing input, • a fact this genre's score does not use. The exact weights stay secret. These are the inputs and the direction each pushes.
The value story
It has never been cheaper than $3.99, which it hit in June 2024. It has been discounted 109 times in the 12 years tracked here, typically at 70 percent off, with about 5 weeks between sales. Today it is at full price. The last sale was about 2 weeks ago, and on this game's rhythm the next one tends to arrive within 5 weeks.
On value it sits in the top 1 percent of its genre. Among the games closest to it, The Witcher: Enhanced Edition Director's Cut ($9.99, scores 61) and The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Enhanced Edition ($19.99, scores 81) both come in lower.
$75.99 is where it would stop being a BANGER. Today it is $39.99.
Steam's global achievement data puts 22 percent of players at this game's ending achievement. The median game this site can measure sits at 8.
The main story runs 51.6 hours. Doing everything runs 175, 3.4 times as long.
879,971 people have reviewed it, which is a large enough crowd that the rating is a fact rather than an impression.
It carries Valve's Deck Verified rating, which is the one that means it just works.

What players say
I understand why now this game was voted GOTY. I love Geralt being a dad, and I just grew to really love most of the characters. Lambert, Lambert...
It's my favourite game! Deep, amazing, compelling and exited story! My first playtru was easily 300+ hours, and i never got bored. If you're looking for story, combat and exploring, and if you love medival stuff - this is the game for you!
Bought the game on sale. Played it in 2026. Still got my money's worth. For a game released in 2015, The Witcher 3 has absolutely no business feeling this fresh, enthralling, and challenging more than a decade later. The lore is deep-you start out hunting a monster and 20 hours later you're emotionally invested in the political history of some village you can't even pronounce. The story actually drives the gameplay...

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Complete Edition scores 98/100 on the BANG Score (a BANGER). The BANG Score rates what a game is worth for the money. Via Steam BANGERS. https://steambangers.com/game/292030/the-witcher-3-wild-hunt-complete-editionThe BANG Score is one number for value, 0 to 100: price against how it reviews and how long it was built to be. It rates value, not taste. Whether it is for you is on you.
Reviews set the ceiling and price moves you inside it, so a cheap game that reviews badly cannot climb. Ratings from few reviewers are shrunk toward the middle, so 100 percent from nine people does not outrank 96 percent from ninety thousand. Length comes from HowLongToBeat where it can be matched, measured against a per-genre floor so a five-hour narrative game is judged against other narrative games rather than against a sixty-hour RPG. Where no verified length exists the score says so and carries a dock, because the biggest input is then a guess. The full method, including where it is weak → Data · updated 2h ago.
