What drives the score
How to read this
Grades run S to D, read from the buyer's side. ▲ marks a lift, ▼ a drag or a dock, ? an input we do not have, • a fact this genre's score does not use. How the grades work
About the game
A roguelike where you build your own calculator. Buy unusual buttons, combine them with passive upgrades, and reach target numbers while saving turns and charges. Defeat bosses that change the rules and unlock new possibilities for future runs.
Minimum specs
Minimum on the Steam store: 1 GB of memory, OpenGL 2.1 compatible graphics card, integrated graphics, 102 MB of storage. Windows only.
The value story
Across all 10 discounts in the 2 years tracked, the median cut is 30 percent, about 13 weeks apart. Today's $5.59 at 20 percent off still sits 134 percent above the floor, so a deeper cut exists in its history.
Against its own genre it lands in the top 38 percent on value. It is cheaper than 75 percent of its genre, and better reviewed than 66 percent. ShapeHero Factory ($23.99, scores 65) outscores it, and so does Sol Cesto ($9.37, scores 73). Both sit among its closest neighbours.

What players say
Fun bit of rogue arithmetic with a number of different calculators and got about 4 hours solid enjoyment (less than £ and hour! Not sure I will bother with the advancing levels and as someone mentioned, not mechanic to make endless any fun. Graphics quite functional although sometimes overdoes the retro and becomes unreadable. Not sure what resolution it was displaying at.

Very fun, variety of unique calculators and many different difficulties. Hoping for a mobile port.
The echo of Balatro will echo through games for a decade, people desperate to figure out the sauce for a game where random object generation combines with escalating stakes to give you a tense high that feels compelling. And the concept here, a calculator, is hilarious. I've been checking in with each update, and I think after all this time I've simply come to the conclusion that there isn't the sauce here. It's a...
