What drives the score
How to read this
Grades run S to D, read from the buyer's side. ▲ marks a lift, ▼ a drag or a dock, ? an input we do not have, • a fact this genre's score does not use. How the grades work

17 discounts in the 2 years on record, a median of 80 percent off across all of them, roughly 5 weeks apart. Today it is at full price, and its last discount ended 9 days ago.

More about Dream Cage
Steam's global achievement data puts about 5 percent of players at this game's ending achievement. On a 1.4-hour game, the hours short of it still count in its price per hour. 10 of the 207 Steam-purchase reviews sampled here come from buyers who refunded the game, sampled from reviews written February 2025 to August 2026. That is more refunded reviewers than 9 in 10 paid games this site has sampled to the same depth, and among the 1,627 games in its genre sampled this deeply, 10 have a larger share. The typical game sits near 5 in 1,000, so the score docks it. 1 of the 10 refunded reviewers was past Valve's two-hour window when they wrote the review. Inside the two-hour refund window, 52 percent of the 188 reviews written there were positive, against 66 percent overall, and those are 64 percent of everything written about it.
The main story runs 1.4 hours. Doing everything runs 4, 2.6 times as long.

What players say
HOW TO PLAY: CAMERA AND BATTERY SYSTEM: Once you turn on the camera your fear meter will rise, once it reaches the red line a spirit kills you, batteries randomly spawn in bathroom, kitchen drawers and sometimes scattered around, they are on a random timer and infinite amount spawns, when you pick up battery it fills up your battery bar in bottom left, so youll likely need at least 10 pick ups for longer usage time...

The story of this game when you start to understand and figure it all out is actually really developed and enjoyable. The problem was that it took 2 deaths for me to finally read that "mmb" is how to analyze anomalies. It should be in the How to Play setting. Either way I found the game to be fun and I jumped a couple times. Overall a decent game and had fun 100%ing it.
Filled with bugs, concept is cool but it's ruined by the bugs that keep occuring, both visual and gameplay wise
