The value story
June 2022 is where it bottomed out, at $0.99. It has been discounted 81 times in the 12 years tracked here, typically at 78 percent off, with about 6 weeks between sales.
It is pricier than 69 percent of its genre, and less well reviewed than 99 percent. Endless Sky (free, scores 83) outscores it, and so does Anno 2205™ ($5.99, scores 31). Both sit among its closest neighbours.
Inside the two-hour refund window, 31 percent of the 110 reviews written there were positive, against 48 percent overall, and those are 12 percent of everything written about it.

Unfortunately, Cosmonautica, while scratching the genre itch (but in SPACE), is not the droid I was looking...
changed the resolution and now its broken cant change it back (even with steam commands) + the devs abandoned it, so there goes my money
