Frostpunk broke my heart in the coldest way. I came for a strategy game. I left with memories stayed with me. It is not just about surviving the cold. It is about discovering how much of yourself you are willing to sacrifice to keep the fire alive.

I absolutely love this game-. With nearly 100 hours clocked, having beaten the base game and DLCs multiple times, I still keep coming back. It's ironically become my ultimate comfort game to burn hours into. As a massive fan of traditional city builders like SimCity and Cities: Skylines, Frostpunk completely blew me away with its steep learning curve and unique survival premise. Set in an alternate 1800s ice age...
Game feels like it's a puzzle that you need to learn. Once you've done that. Its no longer a game, but a execution of command queue. Most any sidestep from following the correct puzzle, will kill you. So once you do things in the right order, you cant loose. Which makes it feel less like a game.
