What players say
The first game by Sam Barlow, the uncrowned king of modern FMV games who has shown us that creativity and FMV actually can go together (as opposed to what it was like back in the 90s). Play not only this one, but also Telling Lies and his masterpiece Immortality (in any order). Keyboard strongly advised, as you will be doing a fair amount of typing.

I could recommend Her Story to a very niche few people. I enjoyed it ALOT for the price I paid (got it on a Steam sale for 90% off) but I feel like the format is just enough off the beaten path that many wouldn't visit it and that's sad because the game really does tell an interesting story. In Her Story you sit at an old computer ready to comb through a database related to an old missing persons investigation...
The story is very interesting, but the game mechanics are too complicated. I love puzzle games, but it's not intuitive how some of the words are connected to certain videos. I'm really sad because the story kept me playing for a long time, but without a real protagonist and without interesting mechanics, I can't recommend this game.
