It was a pretty good game. Much more to do than the old Quest for Glory games they made back in the day. That said, I wouldn't call it a successor. It just didn't scratch the same itch, I guess. Of course it doesn't have to.

Everyone compares Hero-U to the Quest for Glory series, and there's good reason for that. It's an adventure/RPG hybrid with plenty of charm, interesting characters to meet, and tedious tasks to work your way through. I enjoyed Hero-U, but with caveats. The game is overly long. There is busywork littered throughout, intentionally so, as you progress your skills. The gameplay, such as it is, could optimistically be...
I think the writer is or was an accountant for the amount of shade he thorws at the profession. As someone who practiced in this field i whole heartedly agree.
