It is pricier than 84 percent of its genre, and less well reviewed than 90 percent. Subnautica: Below Zero ($29.99, scores 71) outscores it, and so does Subnautica ($7.49, scores 97). Both sit among its closest neighbours.
Of the 345 Steam-purchase reviews this site sampled, 2 come from buyers who refunded the game, sampled from reviews written March 2020 to July 2026. Inside the two-hour refund window, 31 percent of the 188 reviews written there were positive, against 59 percent overall, and those are 22 percent of everything written about it.
