Just Deserts is a nice simple visual novel with a main game play loop of sim management where you focus on building yourself up, romancing the heroines, and managing limited funds. I was very pleasantly surprised to find that all the girls were fully voice acted which really elevated my opinion of the game. In my opinion the soundtrack was a real bop, especially the menu track. The story itself is kind of basic but...
I couldn't get through it. It wasn't the story or the difficulty that was the problem, but the interface. This has potential to be a good game, but it's frustrating. 1. The attack animations are unskippable. At a certain point of playing, I just want to resolve the combat. I don't need to watch the enemy attack animation every time. 2.
