The story is simple but wholesome and interconnected. Mechanics are quite oldschool, although there is active in-fight mana restoration, that is occasionally annoying because some fight tend to end before the replensih happens. A lot of box pushing puzzles, maybe a bit too much in the later dungeons, that drag for quite some time. The game also felt too linear until the flying ship point and DLC content, DLC was...
What a great little game. It's short, and breezy, and never feels like a slog. Combat is reasonably challenging and some bosses (looking at you, possessed andidote kid) are legit tough. The music is hit or miss but some tracks are stellar. It's a lot like FF Mystic Quest - which is a good thing!
