The value story
33 discounts in the 10 years on record, a median of 30 percent off across all of them, roughly 13 weeks apart. Today it is at full price, and its last discount ended 11 days ago.
Against its own genre it lands in the top 12 percent on value. It is pricier than 60 percent of its genre, and better reviewed than 93 percent. On the same math Princess Remedy in a World of Hurt (free, scores 90) and Crypt of the NecroDancer ($14.99, scores 88) are the better buys, and they are the games it most resembles.

What players say
This is an underrated, VERY retro (think somewhere between Atari 2600 and NES) bullet hell shooter starring Princess Remedy, a healer from Saturn, as she goes around curing various people by blasting their illnesses away with magic. The tone of the game is light and silly, and it's fairly short on Normal difficulty. However, higher difficulties are MUCH harder, like the infamous "Death" difficulty. I was not good...

Super tight top-down shooting, with enough different abilities to discover for a variety of tactics, all accompanied by wonderful and jazzy chip-tune! While not as inventive as 'In a World of Hurt', 'In a Heap of Trouble' still offers enough new ideas to deliver an engaging experience that both novice and hardcore players can enjoy. Definitely check it out!
Repetitive gameplay. Needs a button for strafing. Bullet patterns are not designed to be dodged. There is not a real story, just a bunch of phrases. Font is too big to be read on a desk monitor. At some points characters sprite's backgrounds are black instead of transparent.
