A very cool concept executed exceptionally well. Nidhogg 2 feels like a mash-up of the playground game *Red Rover* and the original *Mortal Kombat* trilogy (oh yes, i'm old enough to be familiar with both sets of experiences). The objective has the frantic tug-of-war energy of the former, while the latter is reflected in its fast-paced combat, chunky sprite work, and satisfyingly responsive controls. I mean both...

The rules are simple. Reach the other side and kill anyone that stands in your way. Deftly parry and rend their throats, riddle their bowels with arrows, or squish their brains between your toes. The wurm cares not for chivalry.
