Detention is an atmospheric horror game set in 1960s Taiwan under martial law. Incorporated religious elements based in Taiwanese/Chinese culture and mythology, the game provided players with unique graphics and gaming experience.

The combination of eastern religion horror, poltical propaganda and a school setting make Detention one of the most unique psychological horrors and a truly horrifying experience. yet it managed to make me feel angst and sorrow i've not felt since playing Silent Hill 2. teared up at the end. def recommend
Hyper relevant today, where freedom of speech is dwindling and in danger, where recent world events only point to a modern shape of prohibiting certain thoughts happening soon. Is it truly an act of treason against a nation, to read history, and have common sense about it? Or is this censorship and misinformation an act of treason against humanity itself? Cried, Wei deserved better, but this is a truly human work...
It's a likeable game whether you like anime or not or like or don't care for the Asian culture. Gameplay is great. You do have to use stealth in this game to progress. If you're not stealth, well, this little bit of it won't kill you. It it doesn't ruin the experience. It's not a buggy mess. It hasn't crashes. I don't got nothing bad to say about it.
