What players say
I like that it's simple enough you can jump right in and basically sandbox it, play around, experiment, but with enough of a challenge with the vikings and dragons and you're not just sitting there doing nothing. That said, it's a game where once you've played several hours, you've basically seen everything. There are some crazy builds in the community hub, but I don't see a point in trying something like that. I...

The ultimate chill city building and managing game 10/10 Highly recommend even at full price
It's a fun experience for what it is, but that's for a couple of hours. It's a pretty simple game, but shallow. Would be nice for it to have greater depth, more factions, larger maps, and so on.

About the game
Kingdoms and Castles is a city-building simulation game about growing a kingdom from a tiny hamlet to a sprawling city and imposing castle. Make trade agreements, alliance, and war with neighboring AI controlled kingdoms. Each villager and resource is individually simulated.
