Tropico 4 is the only product that Haemimont Games worked on that was successful the rest is just utter *bleh* The game is a classic, the game is fun, the story is fun. It's also very cheap if you buy it on the proper sites 10/10 would buy again.

It you are used to the later games, this is simplistic. But it is a great intro to the series. It's pretty easy. Money rolls in if you just build a few plantations and rum and cigar factories . Then it's basically cruising because you can afford all the treats for your little people. Nonetheless, it is a very chill building game.
After some research, I went for Tropico 4 as my first entry into the franchise and it's safe to say that this game is addictve. I wish I had have discovered this game sooner. It reminds me of a mash up of Sim City and Civilisation. Despite being an 'aged game', all of the graphics and UI work perfectly for me in 2026.
