Ys returns with a brand new adventure for the first time in 8 years! Adol awakens shipwrecked and stranded on a cursed island. There, he and the other shipwrecked passengers he rescues form a village to challenge fearsome beasts and mysterious ruins on the isolated island.

Great game, a new favorite of mine. The story has consistent and good pacing for the most part, and exploring the island is a lot of fun. Solid cast of characters, and some surprisingly emotional moments. Soundtrack is awesome, almost every track is a banger.

I went into this game with no expectations at all, but man what a amazing game and story. If i had to explain to you the story to this game I would genuinely struggle because its so complex and story rich. The first couple hours was pure just exploration but the story picked up right around the 3rd chapter and never failed to make you lose interest after that.
