The value story

The lowest price on record is $1.59, set in July 2023. Its cuts run 66 percent off as a rule. There have been 64 in the 9 years tracked, about 6 weeks apart.

Against its own genre it lands in the top 14 percent on value. It is pricier than 67 percent of its genre, and better reviewed than 85 percent. Among the games that feel like it, Gorogoa ($14.99, scores 72) beats it on value, while it beats LUNA The Shadow Dust ($19.99, scores 53).

76 from critics against 87 percent from players, and the player number comes from people who own the game.

Steam's global achievement data puts about 2 percent of players at this game's ending achievement. On a 1.6-hour game, the hours short of it still count in its price per hour. This site sampled 538 of its Steam-purchase reviews; 3 were written by buyers who refunded it, sampled from reviews written April 2020 to August 2026. Inside the two-hour refund window, 84 percent of the 1,692 reviews written there were positive, against 87 percent overall, and those are 59 percent of everything written about it.

It carries Valve's Deck Verified rating and runs 1.6 hours, about as long as a handheld game wants to be.

No dialog, nothing to read, you just use intuition and logic. It gets more challenging as you play but not so hard it's frustrating. I played on an Mac Airbook, and you control everything with mouse...

You're ultimately moving landforms around for your old man to navigate the screen. There's some element of puzzle design in this, but it's never too difficult. Narratively, the game manages to tell a story without any dialogue. Unfortunately, I didn't really find...
