About the game
Slice Dice & Rice is an indie fighting game with no health bars. Inspired by Bushido Blade, it revolves around the idea of finding an opening in opponents defense and ending the round with a single, clean hit.
Minimum specs
Minimum on the Steam store: 2 GB of memory, GeForce 9800 GT with 512 MB RAM (DirectX 10). Windows only.
The value story
It has been discounted 104 times in the 9 years tracked here. The median cut across all of them is 90 percent, about 4 weeks apart. Today's $0.89 at 91 percent off still sits 13 percent above the floor, so a deeper cut exists in its history.
It is pricier than 73 percent of its genre, and less well reviewed than 87 percent. The games it most resembles do better on the same math. Mortal Kombat X ($3.99, scores 74) and Mortal Kombat 11 ($4.99, scores 76) both outscore it.

What players say
Slice, Dice & Rice is a distinctive indie fighting game developed by Dojo Games and published by Ultimate Games S.A., built around a bold design philosophy that rejects many conventions of modern fighting titles. Instead of health bars, extended combos, and layered meter systems, the game embraces a minimalist but high-stakes approach inspired by classics like Bushido Blade. A single clean strike can end a match...

Decent indie fighter with a decent indie roster in a decent indie package. If you're looking for a game that's going to give you 40 hours plus of content, better look elsewhere. However if you're fine with having a 'short but sweet' experience in a fighter that shakes up the fighting game formula with deadly one-shots then SDR can deliver. If buying for multiplayer, don't. This is a single player game. The game is...
