Dolgorax is a retro adventure mishmash sprinkled with tons of brutality and randomness. Does this sound like a good Sunday filler? This game promises a retro-styled experience, and it sure delivers on that front. However, everything feels undercooked and way too experimental to grab the attention of the average player. Absolute fever dream of a game. Judging by the trailer and screenshots I was hoping for something inspired by flashback/another world... It's definitely not that, I guess at least it was 1.6 hours entertainment for the price of a bag of crisps.
SUPER janky, inconsistent, short, completely nonsensical, and ends incredibly abruptly…but it definitely has a certain charm and style. I mostly enjoyed my brief time with it and it has some genuinely hilarious and creative moments. Cool art style too. Makes me a little sad that this didn't have more to it and that the devs seem to have vanished off the face of the earth after making this. They had potential.
