What drives the score

How to read this

Every input gets a grade, S to D, read from the buyer's side. The score is multiplicative, so an input only counts as raising when it sits near the top of its own scale. Anything with real room left is holding the score back, because that room is the gap to 100. ▲ marks a lift, ▼ a drag or a dock, ? an input we do not have, • a fact this genre's score does not use. The exact weights stay secret.

The value story

The lowest price on record is $2.99, set in November 2025. It has been discounted 59 times in the 9 years tracked here, typically at 55 percent off, with about 6 weeks between sales. Today it is at full price. The last sale was about 3 weeks ago, and on this game's rhythm the next one tends to arrive within 6 weeks.

Value puts it in the top 1 percent of the games it competes with. It is pricier than 87 percent of its genre, and better reviewed than 99 percent. The nearest things to it, CarX Street ($19.99, scores 27) and OverDrift Festival ($9.99, scores 41), are both worse buys on this math.

$37.34 is where it would stop being a BANGER. Today it is $16.99.

This site sampled 800 of its Steam-purchase reviews; 22 were written by buyers who refunded it, sampled from reviews written July 2025 to September 2026. Inside the two-hour refund window, 70 percent of the 2,831 reviews written there were positive, against 95 percent overall, and those are 3 percent of everything written about it.

The main story runs 5.1 hours. Doing everything runs 88, 17 times as long.

9 years after release it still had 1.7K people in it at once.

It carries Valve's Deck Verified rating and runs 5.1 hours, about as long as a handheld game wants to be.

What players say

i don't have a problem and i'm enjoying this game but the community ruined all of the good aspect. there are so many freak/toxic/crazy people in the chat and it has no filtered for the trash talk. this is why you have to get well educated before u trying to talk to someone politely. *again, i don't have a problem with the game but the community is sucks.

Got a couple hours on CarX and I'll say if you don't like the game, then you expect FAAAR too much from drifting games. The game ever since i've played it from PS5 and on PC has had incredible and VERY fast support of DEVS. Total hours accumulated to around 1000 Hours and I've hardly had a complaint. Mods are a great addition if your on steam and very easy to install and add, but really you don't need mods anymore...

Lowkey the best game to paly while in a vc and u dont know what to do, it lets u talk, it doesn't need much attention and u can screenshare it to your friends like a subway surfers reddit story.

The BANG Score is one number for value, 0 to 100: price against how it reviews and how long it was built to be. It answers the money question and stops there; whether the game is for you is still your call.

Reviews set the ceiling and price moves you inside it, so a cheap game that reviews badly cannot climb. Ratings from few reviewers are shrunk toward the middle, so 100 percent from nine people does not outrank 96 percent from ninety thousand. Length comes from HowLongToBeat where it can be matched, measured against a per-genre floor so a five-hour narrative game is judged against other narrative games rather than against a sixty-hour RPG. Where no verified length exists the score says so and carries a dock, because the biggest input is then a guess. The full method, including where it is weak → Steam reviews as of Sep 12, price as of Sep 24.

A number here look wrong? Tell me what it got wrong and I will look at the inputs behind it.
