A deeply flawed, gorgeous, messy masterpiece of a road trip with the boys. The gameplay swings between flashy warp-strike combat and cruising around in the Regalia, though the combat can easily be brute-forced just by spamming items. This is my favorite game. Of all time, it's not close. I would call Final Fantasy 15 a rushed, incomplete masterpiece. The game was in development hell for 10 years, so there's a bit of explanation that needs to be done why the game was rushed; from my understanding of events, the game started development as part of the Fabula Nova Crystallis series of games under the name Final Fantasy Versus 13. I have never played a game with so much missed potential. Not in that there was missed opportunities, but seeing how cut up and rushed out this game is. There are sections hacked off and sown together in this Frankenstein of a game. The combat is poor, story full of disjoined missions and time skips, and a fairly interesting world and lore that just goes unanswered. I would have loved to see what this game could...
