What drives the score

How to read this

Every input gets a grade, S to D, read from the buyer's side. The score is multiplicative, so an input only counts as raising when it sits near the top of its own scale. Anything with real room left is holding the score back, because that room is the gap to 100. ▲ marks a lift, ▼ a drag or a dock, ? an input we do not have, • a fact this genre's score does not use. The exact weights stay secret.

The value story

November 2025 is where it bottomed out, at $7.99. Its cuts run 50 percent off as a rule. There have been 41 in the 7 years tracked, about 6 weeks apart. Today it is at full price. The last sale was about 13 weeks ago, and on this game's rhythm the next one tends to arrive within 6 weeks.

It is pricier than 72 percent of its genre, and less well reviewed than 76 percent. The games it most resembles do better on the same math. Tom Clancy’s The Division® 2 ($2.99, scores 49) and Tom Clancy’s The Division™ ($2.99, scores 30) both outscore it.

Players rate it 67 percent positive over its lifetime, and the last 30 days run 80 percent. It is aging into a better game than its average suggests. Of the 800 Steam-purchase reviews this site sampled, 8 come from buyers who refunded the game, sampled from reviews written October 2023 to September 2026. Inside the two-hour refund window, 35 percent of the 2,682 reviews written there were positive, against 67 percent overall, and those are 6 percent of everything written about it.

16.4 hours to finish it, 63 to exhaust it. The completionist tail is 3.8 times the campaign.

What players say

I thought this game was pretty good until I realized this was a Square Enix game. Combat feels bad. Spongey enemies. Seems like a half-baked attempt at a Destiny clone

it is a third person shooter and uh yeah. In terms of being an mmo, don't. story? Please stop. visuals? God no. So really all you're left with is just this odd third person shooter that DOES play better than anything ubisoft has put out in the last 2 decades but isn't doing anything that lets it punch above it's weight. This is because it is just a cover shooter at the end of the day, a really rough one at that, but...

great looter shooter. the 4 classes the game provides are all very fun in my opinion. unfortunately though the game suffers from the lack of content and it is very upsetting cause i really do enjoy this game. once you beat the campaign and have access to endgame content the only endgame there is are expeditions and the dlc. expeditions are fun and at least theres a good amount of them to do but since its one of the...

The BANG Score is one number for value, 0 to 100: price against how it reviews and how long it was built to be. It answers the money question and stops there; whether the game is for you is still your call.

Reviews set the ceiling and price moves you inside it, so a cheap game that reviews badly cannot climb. Ratings from few reviewers are shrunk toward the middle, so 100 percent from nine people does not outrank 96 percent from ninety thousand. Length comes from HowLongToBeat where it can be matched, measured against a per-genre floor so a five-hour narrative game is judged against other narrative games rather than against a sixty-hour RPG. Where no verified length exists the score says so and carries a dock, because the biggest input is then a guess. The full method, including where it is weak → Steam reviews as of Sep 12, price as of Sep 24.
