Bad North is a charming but brutal real-time tactics roguelite. Defend your idyllic island kingdom against a horde of Viking invaders, as you lead the desperate exodus of your people. Command your loyal subjects to take full tactical advantage of the unique shape of each island.
Each input wears a grade, S to D, read from the buyer's side. The color is the direction: green raises the score, red lowers it, grey sits neutral. ▼ marks a dock, ? a missing input, • a fact this genre's score does not use. The exact weights stay secret. These are the inputs and the direction each pushes.

Charging $15 for a game this shallow is borderline criminal. Three classes, one of which is garbage, and one three tiered single path skill tree each means you've experienced the entirety of the content this game has to offer in 15 minutes. I bought it for 80% off and I still feel robbed. If this were a free mobile game it would still fail to live up to its competition.
I've not experienced a more cozy, atmospheric game in which you violently defend against the ruthless and bloodthirsty Viking hordes… It's absolute art and I adore it. PricePrice history via IsThereAnyDeal.
The lowest price on record is $2.99, set in September 2023. It has been discounted 75 times in the 8 years tracked here, typically at 70 percent off, with about 5 weeks between sales. Today it is at full price. The last sale was about 7 weeks ago, and on this game's rhythm the next one tends to arrive within 5 weeks.
It sells extras on top of the sticker price (cosmetic); the score docks it lightly for that.
