About the game
Darkestville Castle — a darkly comedic point-and-click adventure where you play as a sarcastic demon. Solve clever puzzles, manipulate idiots, and bring chaos back to Darkestville, because being evil is just more fun.
Minimum specs
Minimum on the Steam store: 2 GB of memory, DirectX 9.0 compatible, 1.5 GB of storage. Runs on Windows, macOS, Linux.
The value story
It has been discounted 77 times in the 9 years tracked here. The median cut across all of them is 75 percent, about 5 weeks apart. Today's $3.74 at 75 percent off still sits 151 percent above the floor, so a deeper cut exists in its history.
On value it sits in the top 1 percent of its genre. It is pricier than 81 percent of its genre, and better reviewed than 94 percent. The nearest things to it, Broken Sword 2 - the Smoking Mirror: Remastered (2010) ($5.99, scores 79) and Botanicula ($14.99, scores 68), are both worse buys on this math.

What players say

Wow, this was hard to give it a thumbs up or down, but overall it's more on the negative side for me. Let's start with what i liked - the graphics are nice, animations are smooth, voice acting is OK, the main character is annoying, but likeable and some of the jokes are funny and the story is - while very cliché - OK.
