Sinner: Sacrifice for Redemption is a boss battler action-RPG. Face eight abhorrent bosses, the first seven each based on one of the sins. Before each epic clash, you must sacrifice a stat and level down to enter combat. Each fight will be tougher than the last as you wage war against sin itself.

The value story

The lowest price on record is $3.79, set in June 2022. 78 discounts in the 8 years on record. They run about 80 percent off, roughly 5 weeks apart.

It is pricier than 89 percent of its genre, and less well reviewed than 87 percent. Vigil: The Longest Night ($21.99, scores 59) outscores it, and so does Thymesia ($6.24, scores 62). Both sit among its closest neighbours.

Of the 504 Steam-purchase reviews this site sampled, 6 come from buyers who refunded the game, sampled from reviews written March 2020 to July 2026. Inside the two-hour refund window, 35 percent of the 234 reviews written there were positive, against 65 percent overall, and those are 28 percent of everything written about it.

The main story runs 4.5 hours. Doing everything runs 9, 2.1 times as long.

It carries Valve's Deck Verified rating and runs 4.5 hours, about as long as a handheld game wants to be.

Could be a decent boss rush if any of the controls were actually responsive, if parrying had any use, if dodging actually allowed you to avoid damage, if hurt and hitboxes were an actual concept understood by the devs that worked in any degree of acuity in the realm of logic... that's a whole lot of ifs that the game fails to meet. Worst thing I've ever played in my life. I loathe those involved in this thing's...

SINNER: Sacrifice for Redemption is an action RPG that distinguishes itself from the crowded Soulslike genre by introducing a mechanic that completely changes the traditional sense of progression. Developed by DARK STAR and published by Neon Doctrine and Raw Fury, the game challenges players to embrace weakness rather than pursue constant growth. Instead of becoming stronger after every victory, players willingly...
