What drives the score
How to read this
Every input gets a grade, S to D, read from the buyer's side. The score is multiplicative, so an input only counts as raising when it sits near the top of its own scale. Anything with real room left is holding the score back, because that room is the gap to 100. ▲ marks a lift, ▼ a drag or a dock, ? an input we do not have, • a fact this genre's score does not use. The exact weights stay secret.
The value story
It has never been cheaper than $6.24. That was June 2026. Its cuts run 50 percent off as a rule. There have been 37 in the 4 years tracked, about 6 weeks apart. Today's $6.24 at 75 percent off matches the lowest price in the record.
At full price it scores 45. The current cut is what makes it a 62.
On value it sits in the top 5 percent of its genre. It is pricier than 95 percent of its genre, and better reviewed than 84 percent. Among the games that feel like it, DARK SOULS™ II: Scholar of the First Sin ($39.99, scores 63) beats it on value, while it beats Nioh: Complete Edition ($7.49, scores 57).
Players rate it 82 percent positive over its lifetime, but the last 30 days run 71 percent. Something recent has soured the room. This site sampled 800 of its Steam-purchase reviews; 12 were written by buyers who refunded it, sampled from reviews written September 2024 to September 2026. Inside the two-hour refund window, 46 percent of the 919 reviews written there were positive, against 82 percent overall, and those are 11 percent of everything written about it.
Finishing takes 7.2 hours; clearing it takes 16, which is 2.2 times the campaign.

What players say
A solid game with no game breaking bugs! The combat feels really good, however the early game was a little rough. Once you unlock a few skills and start increasing your damage value, the game feels so much better. Definitely a fun experience overall! I ended up 100% it and the achievements aren't too bad either. I really like the mission structure/level select. You can tackle one quest at a time without feeling...
6.8/10 very no brainer parry game easy to break with the right build you can just spam parry like a machine gun and you will be untouchable, halfway through the game I was a unstoppable force that just going through bosses like speed bumps. Easy to 100% with a guide of course and its short. Too short that i already forgotten all the areas I've explored too forgettable that I've already forgotten what i did in this...
Not Recommended 5.5/10 Thymesia is incredibly short. Just when you feel like you're finally getting into the game, it ends, leaving the world feeling empty and unfinished. The combat and mechanics are decent, but I didn't enjoy the overall package enough to recommend it.
Player reviews from Steam: the most helpful all-time, plus the newest that clear the same quality bar, with the hours each player had put in when they wrote it. The mix of Recommended and Not recommended follows the game's Steam ratio. Rotates daily. Opinions are theirs.

Thymesia scores 62/100 on the BANG Score (fair value). The BANG Score rates what a game is worth for the money. Via Steam BANGERS. https://steambangers.com/game/1343240/thymesiaThe BANG Score is one number for value, 0 to 100: price against how it reviews and how long it was built to be. It answers the money question and stops there; whether the game is for you is still your call.
Reviews set the ceiling and price moves you inside it, so a cheap game that reviews badly cannot climb. Ratings from few reviewers are shrunk toward the middle, so 100 percent from nine people does not outrank 96 percent from ninety thousand. Length comes from HowLongToBeat where it can be matched, measured against a per-genre floor so a five-hour narrative game is judged against other narrative games rather than against a sixty-hour RPG. Where no verified length exists the score says so and carries a dock, because the biggest input is then a guess. The full method, including where it is weak → Steam reviews as of Sep 19, price as of Sep 24.
