An ancient evil lurking within the Master Emerald has been unleashed from its slumber by the devious Dr. Eggman and is on the verge of becoming the ultimate monster using the 7 Chaos Emeralds. Only Sonic and his friends are heroic enough to put a stop to Dr. Eggman and his evil minions.

Even before modding this game, this game is really fun; but after modding it, it becomes infinitly replayable.
One of the first games I ever played. "Rough transition to 3D" my ass, this game is great. May not be perfect but it's got soul and it's fun. I even like the different character playstyles to mix up the pace. Highly recommend modding the game to make it more like the dreamcast version, it feels great.
This game is a required taste but after I played it for my fourth time and fully completing the game, I had a really fun time! The story mode was great in terms of gameplay (except for Big) story (except for Big) and bosses. The game does suck in terms of the chao garden and mission mode, but everything having to do with the story was great!
