What players say
I have angered the gods. All the gods. So many hours studying units. So many hours researching spells. So many hours reading guides. So many hours watching tournaments. So many hours planning pretenders. So few hours acutally playing. (in reality it's something like 150 hours, but it's still nothing by Dominions standards) Dishonor. Best toy soldier army unboxing simulator, 10 out of 10. Play the sixth one.
It's got a very messy UI. This often means that you need multiple clicks to get anywhere and the game can be impenatrable without outside sources such as youtube videos or other explanations. Having said that, there is a lot of potential fun here. If it weren't such a god awful experience to interact with the thing it could actually be my all-time go to game.
As much as I tried to enjoy this game, it is simply Micromanagement hell. I generally like strategy games. I really enjoyed Crusader Kings, Stellaris and so on. This game manages to take simplicity (Very few resources to manage, for example) and create difficulty by making everything need constant attention every moment. It's a bit like trying to turn a hobby into a job, I suppose.
