The value story
It has never been cheaper than $2.69. That was March 2026. Its cuts run 60 percent off as a rule. There have been 69 in the 8 years tracked, about 6 weeks apart.
Value puts it in the top 10 percent of the games it competes with. It is pricier than 85 percent of its genre, and better reviewed than 90 percent. Among the games that feel like it, Thymesia ($6.24, scores 62) beats it on value, while it beats Corpse Keeper ($19.99, scores 34).
15 of the 546 Steam-purchase reviews sampled here come from buyers who refunded the game, sampled from reviews written March 2020 to August 2026. Inside the two-hour refund window, 65 percent of the 428 reviews written there were positive, against 86 percent overall, and those are 19 percent of everything written about it.

What players say
Awesome game! Great fun for a few bucks. I completely missed this gem when it was released and just discovered by sheer coincidence. Buy it - I want a sequel(or prequel, who cares).
Like if Elden Ring and DOOM had a baby. This is so much fun, there's not really anything to tell you where to go or what to do, but it's pretty closed loop, so there's a satisfying certainty to figure it out. Loads of weapons, challenges, and rewarding leveling system, but punishing that forces you to stop and learn the patterns and mechanics. Absolutely recommend.
Pretty fun, gets a bit repetitive in the middle but perfect runtime for what it is. Satisfying hammer action
