"YumeCore" is a new type of game combining side-scrolling beat-’em-up action with adventure-style investigation that puts the “aii” in “kawaii.” Fight your way through the waking dreams of the sickly girl Soboko to escape the hospital.

A fun and cute, but short game where you play as a sick girl trapped in her own dreams. I really liked the narrative surrounding the simple lives of girls in a hospital. The characters were all likable and sweet as well! The graphics and soundtrack are interesting and fit the game's mysterious atmosphere a lot. Some areas are unsettling, making me excited for what would happen next. Hopefully it gets controller...

it's a short game about escapism, with some funny humor. really charming art style, surprisingly-satisfying combat, and a lot of secrets and stuff to unlock for completionists. story was more than enough for me. would recommend for people who don't mind repeating a specific stage/sequence over and over again since the game has terrible checkpoints.
