its a classic for a reason. while xenonauts has the QOL and i like nu-xcom, old xcom scratches a certain tactical and strategic itch and has more SOVL. i like the comicbook/anime-esque designs and how varied the aliens are, something that xenonauts struggled with. it also has support for mods so you can overhaul it in a ton of different ways, like making it into a wh40k game. a lot of the issues with this game are...
I remember when this game was first released back in 1994; my friend was the only one with a computer capable of running it, so me and several of our friends all went to his house and took turns playing it. Surprisingly enough, we didn't end up killing each other to get more time to play. This game was peak at the time. I only have 18 hours on Steam, but I likely have more hours in this game than any other game in...
