What drives the score
How to read this
Grades run S to D, read from the buyer's side. ▲ marks a lift, ▼ a drag or a dock, ? an input we do not have, • a fact this genre's score does not use. How the grades work

The value story
67 discounts in the 8 years on record, a median of 85 percent off across all of them, roughly 5 weeks apart. Today's $0.99 at 80 percent off still sits 43 percent above the floor, so a deeper cut exists in its history.
On value it sits in the top 8 percent of its genre. It is cheaper than 62 percent of its genre, and better reviewed than 80 percent. Among the games that feel like it, A Hat in Time ($29.99, scores 70) beats it on value, while it beats Yooka-Laylee ($19.99, scores 39).

There are a couple of small issues I noticed, such as the ground pound powerup seeming finnicky and the game restricting my movement in certain areas without proper indication as to why, but those issues don't do enough damage to dampen the experience. It's a 7 or an 8 out of 10, a very competently designed and short experience that achieves everything it...
