Doesn't have my favorite cast of a Disgaea game, but definitely has the best gameplay and some of the most polished style. If you like Tactical RPGs, I think Disgaea is worth giving a try and like the rest of the series has plenty to do.
still the best disgaea game in terms of mechanics. future games tried to simplify the mechanics, (imo to cut dev costs) but it was never the same. 5 just has the almost perfect mix of mechanics. The only thing future games did right when they cut mechanics was getting rid of chara world. Chara world, and the need to clear it dozens of times per character to max them out (or as many times as needed to make scrolls of...
I really like this game. Story is interesting (unlike 6...and far better than 7) and gameplay is good. Get it on sale if you can for the complete edition.
