The value story

May 2024 is where it bottomed out, at $2.49. Its cuts run 65 percent off as a rule. There have been 39 in the 8 years tracked, about 8 weeks apart.

Value puts it in the top 6 percent of the games it competes with. It is pricier than 71 percent of its genre, and better reviewed than 91 percent. Among the games that feel like it, Sonic Adventure 2 ($9.99, scores 81) beats it on value, while it beats STAR WARS™ Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II ($5.99, scores 49).

This site sampled 518 of its Steam-purchase reviews; 7 were written by buyers who refunded it, sampled from reviews written April 2020 to August 2026. Inside the two-hour refund window, 74 percent of the 854 reviews written there were positive, against 86 percent overall, and those are 40 percent of everything written about it.

This game is definitely still buggy. But I love it so much. The sounds, the speed, the nostalgia. 10/10
