The value story
The lowest price on record is $9.99, set in June 2024. It has been discounted 26 times in the 6 years tracked here, typically at 30 percent off, with about 7 weeks between sales.
Against its own genre it lands in the top 41 percent on value. It is pricier than 82 percent of its genre. Among the games that feel like it, The Messenger ($19.99, scores 77) beats it on value, while it beats Axiom Verge ($19.99, scores 51).
None of the 404 Steam-purchase reviews sampled here come from buyers who refunded the game, sampled from reviews written January 2021 to August 2026. Inside the two-hour refund window, 70 percent of the 159 reviews written there were positive, against 83 percent overall, and those are 12 percent of everything written about it.
It carries Valve's Deck Verified rating and runs 8.6 hours, about as long as a handheld game wants to be.

Cyber Shadow is one of the best 2D platformer that I've ever played. Pros: - The pixel art for NPC, enemies, background, cutscenes are really well detailed an quite colourful. - Soundtrack makes you feel like a badass. - The combat abilities that you unlock along the way are pretty fun as I end up using all of them consistently throughout the game. - I like the CRT filter. - You get to beat Apparitor twice. Cons: ...
Fun, but not very complex. If you like ninja gaiden, you'll like this, because it's just ninja gaiden but quite a lot easier. I got it on sale for 11 bucks but honestly i'd wait for a deeper sale.
