I feel bad leaving a negative review but this game just feels unfinished and untested. It just feels like a chore to play at times. The escapists 2 is just so much better, I was very disappointed, this has so much potential.
Its a fun little game to play with friends but there are issues. Starting with good - monkey mechanic is briliant - training your own team of monkeys to automate all mundane things in survival crafting games and leave you to explore and do meaningful things. Game has an end goal which is awesome. Just survivng could be backed up with actual end game objectives - so great job. But here are the bad things: Combat is...
Okay game. Item management is way too much of a chore. Even with the monkeys. Backpack is way too small to make exploration enjoyable. Late-weapons break after beating up 6-7 enemies forcing you to bring multiple weapons in limited inventory. You can find backpack upgrades but they only add very few spaces. Menu UI is very bad. Our quest list was huge with things like "find a flimsy shovel" in a camp which was right...
