What players say
The game is mediocre at everything. Mediocre graphics, mediocre story-telling, horrible combat (to the point it feels like an alpha release game). I only played it due to nostalgia for the company's earlier projects (mainly Gothic), but it's clear they're just milking the franchise now. They didn't put love or any kind of polish into this product.
Games like this should be illegal. I just spend 20+ hours on a character only to learn that my stat allocations have soft-locked me out of the rest of the game. My only choice is to spend hours grinding against the lowest level creatures in the game to try and salvage it. The leap from early to mid-game is insane and nearly impossible to get right. You will fail at it the first time unless you have played this...
This game is very good from the Story line thruout all of the play action. I would recommend it anyone who really enjoys beautiful maps, scenary, good story line, and great gameplay.
