What players say
Initially fun, and the true puzzles are engaging, if often easy. But anticipate frustration when you're trying to find a hidden path in a chaotic, visually muddy, and often inscrutable landscape. Plan on having to stop and look in a full 360 + vertical on each and every step of each and every featureless hallway-- all of which take 10-15 agonizing clicks to get through every time you go back and forth through them...

This is much harder than I would like. I'm playing this with another guy and we both agree that its much more difficult than we would like for it to be. Even working together, its pretty tough sledding.
While Myst III: Exile has some evocative environments, traversal can be a problem with unclear paths - especially for areas with more busy visuals, or when there are ladders that allow the player to descend. Beyond that, the puzzles contained in these environments generally aren't interesting enough to be worth the hassle.
