Against its own genre it lands in the top 16 percent on value. It is pricier than 97 percent of its genre, and better reviewed than 92 percent. PIT OF GOBLIN ($5.99, scores 52) outscores it, and so does Mirror's Edge™ ($19.99, scores 55). Both sit among its closest neighbours.
The press gave it 76; the people who bought it give it 87 percent. An 11-point gap in the buyer's favour.
10 of the 800 Steam-purchase reviews sampled here come from buyers who refunded the game, sampled from reviews written May 2021 to August 2026. Pretty cool game. Combat is simple yet entertaining, platforming and exploration is well made and I really enjoyed the humour. And when it all starts getting boring, the game ends, I like that too! Would be nice to see predators actually hunting prey once in a while and not just me.
The gameplay is a fun take on the metroidvania formula where you mostly collect stuff, find secrets and explore the strange but very interesting locations. It's the usual "maybe I can access this area later when I find the right gadget" schtick and it can get very same-y especially near the end but I definitely enjoyed most of it. The combat is a bit mid, you have all sorts of powers/gadgets at your disposal but...
