The value story

October 2022 is where it bottomed out, at $2.99. Its cuts run 60 percent off as a rule. There have been 67 in the 8 years tracked, about 6 weeks apart.

Against its own genre it lands in the top 38 percent on value. It is pricier than 81 percent of its genre. Among the games that feel like it, Black Book ($24.99, scores 77) beats it on value, while it beats 月圆之夜 (Night of Full Moon) (free, scores 56).

This site sampled 475 of its Steam-purchase reviews; 3 were written by buyers who refunded it, sampled from reviews written March 2020 to August 2026. Inside the two-hour refund window, 67 percent of the 358 reviews written there were positive, against 84 percent overall, and those are 12 percent of everything written about it.

HowLongToBeat players log 4.1 hours as a typical playtime, and completionists log 56, 14 times as much.

What players say

Its a decent addition to the genre. Follows the fairly typical card battler rogue formula in a good way. Hits all the right beats with a 3 cool characters and a decent amount of content. Far from my favorite in the genre, but generally decent.

I genuinely enjoyed most of my time with NEOVERSE. The art style is flashy, the combat system is engaging, and the roguelike deckbuilding mechanics are solid and satisfying for the majority of a run. There's a real sense of progression, experimentation, and discovery - until you reach the true boss. Unfortunately, the true boss completely undermines everything the game does well. Instead of serving as a fair but...
